I wish Gibson great success with the Studio line May it really establish walnut as a mainstream tonewood Bravo!The original workhouse with new slim body The roundshouldered Gibson J45 is the workhorse when it comes to acoustic guitars First introduced in 1942, it remains Gibson's best selling acoustic today This unique J45 Studio is hand built with walnut back and sides and a Sitka spruce top I played a Studio a while ago and was impressed with it on its own, but going against a J15 since they're both walnut (I own one of these), it doesn't stand a chance I don't think it's a good substitute for a J45 so comparing them isn't fair imo It's a solid choice for an entry level guitar from the big 3 manufacturers though
